But today im going to be talking about when my family and I visited Austin, now some of you may know about our move others not but lets say Austin is amazing! :D I loved it sooooo much, I took a few pictures whilst we were there...it was very fun I will talk you through what we did there:
Day 1:
well we missed our flight from dallas so technically day one was delayed and we were stranded in a hotel :/...
Day 2/Day 1:
We literally got there and met our friends Graham and Kimberley (love you guys) and then we went to their house and our bnb and then went out for lunch at a place called Gattihs Pizza town (I think that's how you say it?) After that we went to a western store across the road...I mean we were in texas we HAD to get some cowboy boots and hats...so we did :) Then we visited Walmart the local sainsburys and went back home for some chips and salsa and cheddar popcorn?
Day 3:
Well day three wasn't all that interesting we were going to go to a place called zilke park in the city but we didn't really think about the idea of traffic???? :D oops, so we were stuck in traffic on a few highways and ended up going to Peter Pan mini golf, then after that worked our way to 6th street for some Ice cream, it was amazing!!! ii also spotted a Lush right next to the ice cream place! The people who worked there threw the ice cream around and caught it in bowls with your toppings and everything and then gave it to you...after that we hit the road and headed home...and might I say we had horrid jet lag :(
Day 4:
So on to day 4 are we? Well day 4 was exciting, ish...we headed back for zilke park but didn't really realise how hot it was going to be!!!!!!!! :O oh my! I was wearing a dress with tights, typical English weather you wear tights with dresses, so I wore my tights and cowgirl boots and the boys wore their hats and yes we looked like real tourists! We were all so hot and hungry so we found a little stand and me and my brother solly got a hotdog and my sister got this thing called a snowie? It is basically a ball of flavoured ice in a cup (snowcone)...she got chased by wasps though! then we headed back to Kimberley and Grahams because our church we are joining was having a social, where we met the most lovely people...Josh and Sarah, Jan and Bill and Philip. We had peanut butter cups (peanut butter in a little chocolate cup) and Oreos!!!!!!!! they do the best oreos over there! so many flavours.
Day 5:
Day 5 was so fun because in the morning we went to church and ate doughnuts and had orange juice and apple juice etc. Then Josh and Sarah took us out into some amazing restaurant called the Grove...it was so beautiful, it had one big tree in the middle and lights all around and it was outside with heaters by the tables...then we visited a beautiful mountain overlooking the city and the view was incredible! then after that we headed home and got an earlier sleep...
Day 6:
Skipping day six and seven because we just visited schools

Day 8:
The worst day by far :( So in the morning dad had said we were all going on a fun, short bike ride around the trail around Lake Austin...:) it was fun to begin with until dad lost his tracks, we ended up on the highway!?!?! yeh I know I wasn't sure either, so then we were going along the highway with people pointing at us and so on it was so embarrassing and after that we got to a road, now the crossings were so far away so we had to cross straight through the middle!!!! :O then we went up a gigantic hill and I almost died, and then me and solly had a water fight haha, it was also very hit that day and I wore jeans (not very practical but im british) so it turned out to be over 10 miles!!!
Day 9:
And my legs were aching so much I could not sleep that night, and my butt hurt so much because of the awkward bike seat...I could not sit down properly! And to top it off the next day we went on River bikes yay!!!! :( it was very fun though, they are basically bikes on the river...pretty self explanatory :) then we got some gorgeous drinks at a hotel bar nearby, I got a mocktail...watermelon flavoured and solly got a milkshake and eliza my sister got sprite.
